David Paulson

My background includes both business management and academic research and teaching.  My PhD considers the differences between family-owned firms in West Germany and England after the Second World War, and the extent to which values and practices visible in that period are still influential today.  My current research interests are in leadership, particularly in adverse conditions, and the management of small- and medium-sized enterprises, especially family firms.   In all of these areas I am interested in both historic and current issues.
